Except that this time it's mostly me. Terran is for the most part healthy, and Bobby is hopefully heading in that direction as well. My kids...they're just too good at sharing.
We have snow. And sleet. And it's not much fun. Pretty cold too.
Both home inspections have occurred and all is well on both fronts. We're trying to schedule things so we move and close on both places in the first week of March. All things considered, this whole process has been fairly painless. I keep waiting for some kind of huge glitch to appear, but at this point I can't think of where anything would pop up.
I swear both my boys have been sick for the better part of this month. A few weeks ago T was down with a stomach bug that had him out of school for the better part of a week. Bobby was fighting some gawd awful diarrhea during that time as well. Then they seemed to be better for a week and now it's fevers and coughs and runny noses.... poor babies.
hehe...
poor me.
Here's the general scoop:
Our realtors (the wonderful wonderful team of Anita Sisney and Rick Lowe at Armfield, Miller and Ripley) listed our house in the MLS database around 11pm on Thursday night.
I woke up to the phone ringing on Friday morning and people started to come by around 10am. By 4pm when Rick came by to drop off some handouts and pound the for sale sign into the yard, I had already shown the house to about ten different groups.
Rick called just minutes after leaving to let me know that an offer had been sent to the office earlier that afternoon. I continued to show the house, and at the end of the day I'm guessing it was pretty close to 16 times.
Anita brought a copy of the offer by later that evening.
We chose to accept.
It's a sellers market indeed when your house sells in less than 24 hours.

Yikes....the first week of January is almost over. The last few weeks have flown by - understandably so. We've been busy entertaining, celebrating, cleaning and preparing for the big move.
Oh right. We're moving. To Maryland. In two months.
Bruce has resigned his position at Cigital and accepted one at Booz Allen Hamilton. An opportunity basically just fell into his lap and we jumped on it.
Oddly enough, we're only moving about an hour away from our current location. It's just too far to commute for any real duration of time. So with any luck we'll be listing our house for sale in the next week or two and if we're luckier we'll have an offer in on a new place by the end of the month.
It's a fair bit of stress. I really could use a vacation!
Disneyworld maybe. :)
